This program is dedicated to protecting the marine protected area and preserving the biodiversity of Tela Bay.

It is jointly implemented with the Forest Conservation Institute, the Municipality of Tela, DIGEPESCA, the Honduran Navy, and PROLANSATE through a Protection Plan for the Tela Bay Marine Wildlife Refuge.
 

Objectives:

• Restore fish populations and fisheries within the area of influence of the Tela Bay Marine Wildlife Refuge.

  Promote responsible practices and uses compatible with the integrity of marine ecosystems.

• Encourage users and residents of the RVSMBT to take responsibility for the protection of the marine protected area.
